Dr. Matthys knew from a young age that she was passionate about helping others which lead her into the field of dentistry. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas in Austin. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Matthys is passionate about ensuring each patient is comfortable during their visit and leaves with a wonderful experience. She enjoys being able to educate patients on the link between oral health and systemic health. Dr. Matthys is SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) certified through the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and a certified Invisalign provider. She is continuing to further her education by attending courses on biological dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. She enjoys trying new restaurants in the Houston area and spending time outdoors with her dog, Willie.
